Learning from littles

I am constantly amazed at the things my children will say. Sometimes it’s not so good things and then there are those times it makes me pause..... Like, wow!

Do you ever have those times? Those times when you know God is speaking through His little children to teach you? It’s humbling to know that we serve a God that is so patient with us and He will use everyone around us to teach us. Even the children He has blessed us with. I have three.... two girls and a little boy. My middle daughter has always been unique in ways that are inexpressible at times.

You know how kids will keep asking and asking questions even though you have given them an answer and your answer isn’t going to change? And then you explain yourself. Is this just me or do y’all know what I’m talking about? Ok, so my sweet and sassy little seven year old says, “MOM, just give me a yes or no.”

So often we explain ourselves or try to justify our answers and really this is not necessary.

The bible says in James chapter 5:12 .... all you need is a simple “yes” or “no.”....

This has been a great reminder out of the mouth of a child of God. Parents, remember to slow down and listen to your little, sometimes the Father sends us a good word through them. After all, they are vessels being used to advance His kingdom too.
