Free Time

Oh ya.... a word we like. I think it’s safe to safe we all like our free time. It’s that time we get to catch our breath and relax. That time where no one can tell us how to use it because it’s ‘ours’!

Ok, well lets be honest and real. How we spend that free time will determine so much about our life!!! The world and maybe even those around us, will say you deserve to do this or that.... and maybe it’s true!!! However, if we don’t use that ‘free time’ wisely, then we end up feeding our flesh when it’s our spirit that needs feed. I don’t know about y’al, but there was definitely a time in my life that when I had free time, I used it for my flesh. Meaning I did what Jen thought was best. Yikes!! Now, through the wisdom from the Holy Spirit, He is teaching me how to use my free time. The most amazing thing is..... if you have accepted Jesus and you surrender your life to Him (just have simple faith trusting Him), then you too have His spirit in you to teach you!!! In this world we must remember that we are all servants and we have access to the greatest teacher if we’ll just get alone with Him!! And the best part... we can be ourselves with Him!!! He knows our imperfections and yet we are not seen to Him that way... The blood of Jesus covers us, so He sees us how He created us, in His image. Free time will either take you closer to the Father or away. Choose wisely.
